OsunDecides2026: Oyebamiji Casts His Vote, Says All Is Under Control
The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has cast his ballot in the ongoing OsunDecides2026 governorship election.
Oyebamiji voted in his hometown of Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area, where there has been a large turnout of voters. Reports from his ward indicate that residents arrived early, with voters forming orderly queues ahead of accreditation and voting.
Speaking after casting his vote, Oyebamiji reportedly expressed confidence in the electoral process, saying everything was under control.
The APC candidate's voting point attracted considerable attention, with voters turning out in numbers. Elderly voters were reportedly given priority to make the process easier for them, while younger voters also formed orderly queues.
Security personnel, including police officers and soldiers, have been deployed across Ikire and other parts of the state as voting continues. Despite the heavy security presence, reports from Oyebamiji's hometown indicate that the atmosphere remained largely peaceful.
Oyebamiji's main challenger and incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, has also cast his vote in Ede North and expressed confidence in winning the election.
With voting underway across Osun State, attention is now shifting to voter turnout, the conduct of the exercise and the eventual results.
